Coming in 2026/2027

Cologne-based CoGNiMUS Collektiv is planning BeTont for the 2026/27 season, a unique concert series to be presented in sacred buildings designed by the Cologne architect Gottfried Böhm. Böhm’s distinctive architectural style—shaped by the possibilities of his time while maintaining a strong connection to tradition—has inspired CoGNiMUS to translate this approach into music.

The ensemble has therefore conceived five unique concert experiences, each specifically tailored to a respective Böhm building. The BeTont concert series is primarily inspired by the unique atmosphere and acoustics of St. Gertrud Church in Cologne’s Agnesviertel, where CoGNiMUS already presented a successful concert in November 2024.
